Match report: COWES SPORTS 0 V 3 BRISLINGTON 06/08/2016

F.A. Cup 2016-17 Extra Preliminary Round

The first game between these two sides got off to an unfortunate start for the visitors as after just 6 minutes full back Ricky Chandler fell awkwardly, breaking his arm in the process. By the time the ambulance had arrived and the medics had made him comfortable before¬†despatching him to St Mary’s, the game had been delayed for almost half an hour and the visitors seemed to have coped better than their hosts.

Their dominance was rewarded after 35 minutes when Neikell Plummer scored direct from 25 yard free-kick that left Ed Hatt grasping thin air.

The Yachtsmen struggled to mount any cohesive moves and they were punished again on the hour when Lewis Dunn scored a second for the visitors.

On 79 minutes Brislington made their passage into the next round certain with a third goal. John Mckie was caught in possession on the halfway line and Jack Smyth ran through unchallenged to put the result beyond doubt.
